Consultants & Contractors

Due to the wide scope of facilities managed by the staff of MWCD, we occasionally need to contact the consultant community for services including design, construction administration, surveying, and so forth.  As such, the Engineering group is reaching out to firms throughout the watershed. Please click here to see how.

General contractors are also needed for a variety of projects to maintain our facilities. A database has been developed of general contractors as well as those specializing in a variety of fields. If you would like to be included in this database please click here.

The staff of the MWCD Engineering Department is accepting new and updated Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) for use in developing a consultant database as well as providing means of determining firms in specialized fields that may be contacted for specific projects. If your firm currently has an SOQ on file and would like to update any information, please use the link below to submit an updated form.  If you are submitting an SOQ for the first time please be sure the form is completed and included in your submittal.  MWCD will keep SOQs on file for two years.

MWCD follows a Qualifications-Based Selection process.  The process generally includes the following steps:

  1. SOQs on file are reviewed for project relevance and consultant expertise
    1. Once these firms are identified, a request for Letters of Interest (LOI) may be sent out
    2. If LOIs have been requested, they are reviewed and a short list is developed
  2. Identified candidates are invited to submit Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI) or project-specific SOQs pertaining to the project
  3. Consultants are selected at the completion of the RFP/ RFI stage

MWCD maintains a database of contractors for a variety of project needs. This database is one tool that is used to notify potential contractors of any upcoming bids, or to solicit proposals on smaller projects. Construction projects are bid in accordance with MWCD Policy.

It is important that current contact information is maintained so that contractors can be properly notified of upcoming projects and to provide MWCD personnel with emergency contact information. If you would like to be considered for this list please fill out the form below and send it by email, by fax to (330) 364-4161 or by mail to:
