Broughton Nature Park
Discover 700 acres of rolling hills, ponds, and natural landscapes just minutes from downtown Marietta, Ohio. The Broughton Nature Park welcomes visitors to hike, bike, fish, and explore a diverse outdoor destination filled with trails, event spaces, and wildlife. Whether you’re planning a quiet walk, a weekend event, or a group program, you’ll find space to explore and relax all year long. The park is owned and maintained by the Muskingum Watershed, dedicated to conservation, recreation, and community enrichment.
Rental Space
For those looking for a wedding venue or special event rental on our property, the Elizabeth Sugden Broughton Community Building is located near the main entrance and features a state of-the-art sound system, a kitchen for food brought in by users and caterers, a patio, fire pit, and many other features.

From hiking and biking to fishing and wildlife observation, the Broughton Nature Park offers countless ways to enjoy the outdoors.
Explore more than 20 miles of scenic trails, relax beside tranquil ponds, or challenge yourself at the Big Buckeye or SasQuatch disc golf course. Picnic areas, scenic overlooks, and shaded paths make this a perfect destination for families, runners, and nature lovers alike.

- The Park is open from dawn till dusk year-round.
- The Park is subject to closure without notice at other times under certain conditions.
- All trails, including the Devola Multi-Use Trail, will remain open during deer archery season.
- Deer bow hunting is allowed in the Broughton Park by permit only. No hunting of any kind is permitted in Rudolph Family Park.
- Trapping is strictly forbidden in the Broughton and Rudolph parks.
- Fires, motor vehicles, digging of any kind, and trapping are not permitted.
- Guests must take it upon themselves to observe applicable health and safety precautions.

Park Entrance: The main entrance is located off State Route 821, just two miles north of downtown Marietta. Ample parking is available near the Community Building and trailheads.
