Tappan Lake

Tappan Lake, the first dam in the Muskingum Watershed, now serves as the water source for Cadiz. The lake encompasses the submerged villages of Tappan and Lacyville, with remnants visible underwater. Tappan Lake Park, spread across 5,000 reclaimed acres, hosts various summer events, including a spectacular Fourth of July fireworks display. The park features reservable picnic pavilions, a beach open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and RV sites with amenities. Fishing enthusiasts can explore one of the best bass lakes in Ohio, with regular stocking of game fish. Tappan Marina offers boat rentals, docks, bait/tackle, and fuel. Whether camping, enjoying events, or fishing, Tappan Lake invites visitors for a memorable experience.

Seneca Lake

Seneca Lake, located in southeastern Ohio, is the state’s largest inland lake, with 3,550 acres of water, 4,060 acres of land, and a max depth of 31 feet. It is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a wide range of activities such as boating, fishing, swimming, camping, hiking, and wildlife watching. Seneca Lake is surrounded by picturesque landscapes and serene woodlands. The lake is ideal for anglers, with species like bass, crappie, and catfish in abundance.

Seneca Lake also features well-maintained campgrounds, cozy cabins, picnic areas, and miles of trails, making it a great spot for family vacations and weekend getaways. Visitors can enjoy a full-service marina, with boat rentals, docking, and the Dockside Restaurant. The park provides a variety of recreational facilities, including playgrounds, volleyball courts, pickleball ball courts, storybook trail, splash pad, and sandy beach with concession stand.

Atwood Lake Park

Atwood Lake Park is located in Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties. An easy drive from Akron and Cleveland, Atwood Lake Park is a close getaway vacation. Atwood is one of the state’s — and region’s — top lakes for sailing and pleasure boating. Atwood Lake Park features a wide, sandy beach, vending area, changing room with showers, playground, picnic area and picnic shelters.
