Tappan Memorial Day Weekend

Friday, May 24
4-6pm Traveling Program Golf Cart – Watch for our program staff traveling through the camp areas with information about weekend programs!
4-6pm Nature Center Open – Stop by the Nature Center to meet the staff and see the birds at the feeders.
7-8pm Frisbee Friday – Meet near the playground at Camp Area 1 showerhouse and play frisbee games!
7-8pm Patriotic Craft for Adults – Create a patriotic decoration to display at your campsite or take it home! Meet at the Nature Center. For ages 16 and up.
Saturday, May 25
10am Flag Ceremony – Join Cadiz American Legion to honor military personnel who have died while fighting in a war. Ceremony will take place in Camp Area 4.
11am-1pm Nature Center Open – Make a red, white, and blue windsock! Meet at the Nature Center.
1-2pm Stream Stomp – Meet at the stream near the Activity Center to discover what lives there! Dress to get wet
2:15pm Bike Decorating – Stop by the patio behind the Activity Center to decorate your bike before the parade or you can bring your own from home!
3pm Bike Parade – Feature your decorated bike in the parade. Meet near the Camp Area 1 shower house and take a trip around the campground. Prizes for top bikes in each age group!
4-5pm Tie Dye T-shirts – Make a colorful and unique creation in the grass near Activity Center! T-shirts will be available for purchase. Cash only, $10 each. Sizes are first come, first served. *New 2024 t-shirt design
5-6pm Teen Club – Parents and teens are invited to learn about our NEW Teen Club. Meet at the Activity Center to meet the staff, enjoy ice cream sundaes, and hear our ideas for the club. Plus share some of yours! Teens will play games and win prizes. Meet at the Nature Center.
6-9pm LIVE Music: Breezy Rider Band – Bring your chair or golf cart to the beach pavilion to listen to live music and play yard games.
9-10pm Tappan Golf Cart Parade – Decorate your golf cart and head to the beach for line up at 8:30pm. Parade will start at 9pm. Look for the program golf cart.
Sunday, May 26
11am-12pm Nature Center Open & Craft for Kids – Visit the Nature Center to discover Ohio wildlife and make a patriotic flag craft. Parents must accompany children.
1-2pm Species Spectacular Hike – Meet at the beach parking lot to hike along the Beach Trail. Be prepared for a natural surface trail by wearing hike shoes or sneakers. Parents must accompany children.
3-4pm Nature Sunday Funday – Meet on the patio behind the Activity Center for some parachute fun!
5-6pm Kids BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO at the Activity Center. Bring a full-size candy bar.
6-7pm Adult BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO at the Activity Center. Bring a $2 gift.
9-11pm Movie at the Lake – Bring your blankets and camp chairs to the beach to watch a movie on the BIG screen! The movie is rated PG and will start at dusk. You can also watch from your golf cart or car. Please park vehicles towards the back. Pop and chips will be available for purchase for $1 each.
