Pleasant Hill Independence Day Shedule

Thursday, July 3
2:30-3:30am Nature Center Open – Visit the Nature Room in the Welcome Center to learn about the state bird, tree, and flower.
4:30-5:30pm Patriotic Bubble Painting for Kids – Blow bubbles and make art on the Welcome Center deck.
6:30-9:30pm LIVE Music: Blues Mob – Head to Pavilion #1 by Area G for a high-energy, interactive, Blues Brothers tribute music and comedy act.
Friday, July 4 Happy Independence Day!
2-3pm Friendship Bracelet Craft for Kids – Use red, white, and blue string and beads to create a patriotic friendship bracelet in the Welcome Center. Adult supervision is needed.
4-5pm Nature Center Open – Visit the Nature Room in the Welcome Center to learn about the state bird, tree, and flower.
5-8pm Traveling Golf Cart – Look for the program golf cart as it drives through the campground and passes out schedules.
8-9pm Family BINGO – Spend quality time with family and friends while playing BINGO. Children must be assisted by an adult. Bring a $2 prize to the Welcome Center.
Saturday, July 5
9-10am Breakfast with the Birds – Enjoy a breakfast pastry while we watch the birds visiting the bird viewing window in the Welcome Center.
9-11am Nature Center Open – Visit the Nature Room in the Welcome Center to learn about the state bird, tree, and flower.
12-1pm Hot Dog Eating Contest – Be a part of the second annual Pleasant Hill Lake Hot Dog Eating Contest! For ages 18 and up only. First place prize is a Yeti cooler! The contest will take place at the top of Beach Hill. Registration required at www.MWCD.org/tickets by July 3 at Noon.
2-4pm T-shirt Tie Dye – Make a colorful and unique creation on the Welcome Center Lawn! T-shirts will be available for purchase. Cash only, $10 each. Sizes are first come, first served.
5-6pm Patriotic Block Craft for Adults – Come to the Welcome Center to create the perfect patriotic home decor.
7-8pm Intro to Pickleball – Learn the basics of pickleball at the courts by Area G.
9-11pm Movie at the Lake: The Lego Movie (2014) – Bring your camp chairs and snacks to the hill at the beach for a family-friendly movie that will start at dusk. The movie will be in the Welcome Center if there is rain.
