Pleasant Hill Hot Dog Weekend

Thursday, July 2
4-5pm Nature Center Open – Visit the Nature Room in the Welcome Center to learn what native animals eat.
5-7pm Traveling Golf Cart – Look for the program golf cart passing out schedules.
8-9pm Popsicles & Board Games – Play games and enjoy a free popsicle, at the Welcome Center!
Friday, July 3 America 250: Food, Fun, & Freedom
10-11am Creek Walk – Search for macroinvertebrates in the stream before Area C. Wear shoes that can get wet and kids should bring an adult assistant.
12-1pm Fishing Game for Kids – Practice casting and reeling at the Welcome Center deck.
2-3pm Nature Center Open – Visit the Nature Room in the Welcome Center to learn what native animals eat.
4-5pm Giant Kickball – Meet at the playground by Area F for a silly version of kickball. We will be using a giant playground ball. For all ages!
6-7pm Family BINGO – Try your luck at the Welcome Center. This is a slower pace for families and children. Bring a $2 patriotic themed gift. Children must have adult helper.
9-11pm Movie at the Lake: (2025) – Bring your blanket, camp chair, and snacks to Picnic Shelter #1 near Camp Area G to watch a movie on the BIG screen. The movie is rated PG-13. In case of bad weather, movie will be shown in the Welcome Center.
Saturday, July 4 Happy America 250!
10-11am Dry BBQ Rub Workshop for Adults – Create a tasty BBQ rub at the Welcome Center! For 16 and up.
12-1pm Patriotic Windcatcher Craft for Kids – Make a windcatcher at the Welcome Center with an adult helper!
2-3:30pm T-shirt Tie Dye – Make a colorful and unique creation at the Welcome Center! **America 250 design** Shirts are $10 each, cash only. Sizes are first-come, first-served. $5 to dye your own t-shirt.
4-5:30pm Sandcastle Building – Bring your imagination to the beach! BYO or use our sand toys.
6:30-9:30pm LIVE Music: The Northwest Territory –Enjoy bluegrass music and food trucks at the top of beach hill!
