Pleasant Hill Father’s Day Weekend w/ Golf Cart Poker Run

Thursday, June 18
7-8pm Campfire Chronicles Book Club – Join the Richland County Library at the fire ring by the Welcome Center for our first book club! Discuss Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt, make a bookmark, and enjoy a campfire snack. All are welcome — whether you’ve finished the book, just started, or simply want to enjoy the atmosphere and conversation!
Friday, June 19
4-5pm Nature Center Open – Visit the Nature Center to learn a little more about Father’s in Nature.
6-8pm Traveling Program Golf Cart – Watch for the traveling golf cart with weekend schedules and trail maps.
Saturday, June 20 Father’s Day Weekend
9-10am Father’s Day Pancake Breakfast – Enjoy pancakes and more at the Welcome Center with the special guy in your life! The suggested donation is $5 per person. While supplies last.
11am-12pm Fishing Fun (16 and under) – Meet the program staff at the fishing dock off the beach parking lot. We will provide fishing poles and bait for participants 16 and younger; an adult must accompany every child.
1-2pm Father’s Day Craft for Kids – Stop by the Welcome Center to create and personalize a hand towel for Father’s Day. An adult must accompany children.
3-4pm Golf Cart Poker Run – Meet at the Welcome Center to compete for the best and worst hand at our golf cart poker run. Read the map and find hidden poker chips throughout the park. $5 per hand; cash only. Prizes for the best and worst poker hands.
5-7pm Pedal Patrol Kick-off & Helmet Giveaway – Bring your bike and helmet to the grassy area near the Welcome Center to learn about this new program and complete a bike safety checklist with a Ranger to earn a FREE ICE CREAM treat! Need a bike helmet? No problem! We will have some to giveaway, while supplies last!
8-9pm Nature Center Open – Visit the Nature Center to learn about fathers in nature.
