Independence Day Weekend at Tappan

Friday, June 30
4-7pm – Traveling Nature Program – Watch for our program staff traveling through the camp areas with nature questions and information about weekend programs!
5-6pm – Kids BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO at the Activity Center. Bring a full-size candy bar.
6-7pm – Adult BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO at the Activity Center. Bring a $2 gift.
9-11pm – Movie at the Lake: Moana – Bring your blankets and camp chairs to the beach to watch the movie on the BIG screen! The movie is rated PG and will start at dusk. You can also watch from your golf cart or car. Please park vehicles towards the back. Nights are chilly – bring layers or blankets!
Saturday, July 1
11:30-12:30pm – Nature Center Open & Scavenger Hunt – Visit the Nature Center and pickup your scavenger hunt sheet to complete before the craft ends at 6pm.
1:15pm – Bike Decorating – Stop by the pavilion near the sports courts across from the Activity Center to decorate your golf cart or bike before the parade or you can bring your own from home!
2pm – Bike Parade – Feature your decorated bike in the parade. Line up at 1:45pm at the basketball courts and take a trip around the campground. Prizes for top bike in each age group!
3-4pm – Tie Dye T-shirts – Make a colorful and unique creation in the grass near Activity Center! T-shirts are available for purchase, cash only. Youth sizes are $5, adult sizes are $10. First come, first served.
5-6pm – Painting Craft for Kids – Meet at the Nature Center and dress for paint!
7pm – LIVE Music: Tony Rio and Relentless Band – Bring your chair or golf cart to the beach to listen to live music until the fireworks show!
DUSK – Fireworks Over the Lake – Enjoy fireworks over the lake! Can be seen from land and water.
Sunday, July 2
9-10:30am – Breakfast with the Birds – Visit the Nature Center and watch the birds at the birdfeeders. Enjoy breakfast treats, coffee, and learn about Ohio’s birds!
11am-12pm – Nature Center & Rubber Ducky Registration – Explore the Nature Center, meet our lizard friends, and sign up for the rubber ducky race!
1-2pm – Rubber Ducky Race – Meet at the grassy area across from the Activity Center and see which ducky is the fastest!
1pm – Tappan Recycling – Have your aluminum cans by lot post by 1pm! All recycling benefits programs.
3-4pm – Gnome Craft for Adults – Create a patriotic decoration to display at your campsite or take it home! Meet at the Nature Center. For ages 16 and up.
6-9pm – Yard Game Mania – Learn a new game or challenge someone to a showdown! Meet near the sports courts.
8-11pm – DJ Ronnie B – Meet at the sports courts for an evening of music and fun!
8pm – Tappan Golf Cart Club Parade – Decorate your golf cart and line up at 7:30pm at the beach.
Monday, July 3
11am-12pm – Nature Center Open & Game Time – Visit the Nature Center and challenge a friend to a friendly board game or on the Wii!
1-2pm – Teen Challenge – Meet at the patio behind the Activity Center for a fun challenge on your favorite social media platform!
