Pleasant Hill Memorial Day Weekend

Friday, May 23

5-8pm          Traveling Golf Cart – Watch for the traveling program golf cart with program information!

Saturday, May 24

9-10am         Nature Center Open – Come see & help feed the LIVE animals in the Nature Center inside the Welcome Center. Visit the fish mural, history exhibit, and bird observation window.

1-2pm          Compass Challenge – Meet at the Welcome Center deck to learn how to use a compass and then complete a challenge course and win a prize.

1-2pm          Fishing for Kids – Join the Program Staff at the fishing dock at the far end of the beach parking lot.  We will provide fishing poles, bait, and guidance.  All kids should have their own adult supervision.

3-4pm          Basketball Fun (Courts by Area G)– Campers aged 8-14 are invited to show off their shooting skills with contests like “knock-out” and “around the world”. The winner will take home a prize. Half of the court will be closed for this event.

5-6pm          Poppy Craft for All Ages – Make your own Poppy to wear for the weekend! Meet at the Welcome Center. Kids must be accompanied by an adult.

7-10pm         LIVE Music: The Goods – Bring your own chair or blankets to enjoy the best 90s covers around at the top of beach hill!

Sunday, May 25

10-11am       Nature Center Open – Come see & help feed the LIVE animals in the Nature Center inside the Welcome Center. Visit the fish mural, history exhibit, and bird observation window.

12-1pm         Patriotic Marble Painting for Kids – Kids of all ages may join the Program Staff on the Welcome Center Deck to create a Patriotic masterpiece. Parents must accompany children, dress for painting.

2-3pm          T-shirt Tie Dye – Make a colorful and unique creation in the near the Shelter in Camp Area G! T-shirts will be available for purchase. Cash only, $10 each. Sizes are first come, first served. *New 2025 t-shirt design*

4-5pm          Patriotic Craft for Adults – Meet at the Welcome Center to make a red, white, and blue wood block craft. For ages 16 and up, Dress for Painting.

6-7pm          Science for Kids – Meet at the Welcome Center deck to try a science experiment and enjoy a snack!

9-11pm         Movie at the Lake – Bring your blanket or camp chairs to the beach hill to watch the an animated favorite on the BIG screen! The movie is rated G.
