Welcome to Windward Shores, MWCD’s newest cottage site development at Atwood Lake! Designed to blend lake living with the natural beauty of the shoreline, Windward Shores offers a limited opportunity to build your dream home in one of Ohio’s most desirable recreational destinations.

Located off Lodge Road SW (State Route 542) in Sherrodsville, Ohio, this new community will feature 18 spacious lakeside lots ranging from approximately ¼ acre to more than 1 acre.Each lot is designed to maximize the Atwood Lake experience while preserving the surrounding environment. Cottage Site Leasing Program

Windward Shores is part of the MWCD Cottage Site Leasing Program. This means homeowners lease the land from MWCD while owning the home built on the property.

Docking

In 2027 MWCD will install cluster docks for use by Windward Shores lessees.  Initially, those docks will be owned and maintained by MWCD, but will later be transferred to be administered by the lessees’ own docking association.

• Buyer is purchasing an option to lease a homesite through MWCD
