Small Opportunity Grant

As part of the MWCD Connecting Communities Grant Program, the Small Opportunity Grant provides funding for time-sensitive and lower-cost outdoor recreation infrastructure projects that deliver immediate community benefits. This funding opportunity is designed to support smaller, opportunity-driven capital improvements that expand public access to outdoor recreation across the MWCD region.

Grant awards range from $5,000 to $25,000 and are available for capital outdoor recreation improvements only. Eligible projects may include trail enhancements, park amenities, access improvements, and other infrastructure that increases outdoor recreation opportunities. Programmatic activities, events, maintenance, and operational expenses are not eligible for funding.
