Tappan Program Schedule

Tuesday, August 5
10-11am Discovery Club – This weekly program for ages 5-10 will explore the Nature Center and then get outside to discover nature! This week learn about birds. Parents are encouraged to attend.
1-2pm Teen Club: Air Hockey – Bring your friends to the Activity Center to challenge staff at air hockey!
9-11pm Meteor Shower Kayak – Enjoy a kayak tour of the lake under the stars and during the Perseid Meteor Showers! Binoculars are encouraged to look at planets and watch for “shooting stars”. Bring your own equipment or borrow ours. Registration required at www.MWCD.org/tickets.
Thursday, August 7
9-10am Trail Trekkers – Take a guided hike along the Fox Trail with our weekly group! Meet at the trailhead in area 4. Be prepared for natural surfaces with sneakers or hiking shoes.
4-5pm Shutterbugs – All ages and camera types are welcome to this weekly photography time! Meet at the Nature Center to learn about creative photography and then try it!
Friday, August 8
5-7:30pm Traveling Golf Cart – Watch for our staff traveling through the camp areas with program information!
8-9:30pm Karaoke – Sing along to your favorite songs at the Activity Center!
Saturday, August 9 Second Saturday
9-10am Knotty Hour & Breakfast with the Birds – Work on your crochet or knitting projects while relaxing and watching the birdfeeders, plus enjoy breakfast treats!
11am-12pm Open Nature Center & Slime for Kids – Explore the Nature Center and make this fun craft!
1-2pm Parachute Party – Have a blast with parachute games near the Activity Center sports courts.
2:30-3:30pm Adult BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO at the Activity Center. Bring a $2 gift.
4-8pm Second Saturday – Enjoy vendors, food trucks, live music, inflatables, yard games, and crafts at the beach parking lot. Vendors include Puskarich Public Library, Mama’s Quick Creations, Ouroboros Soup, Bosler’s Bees, Nourish Cottage, Pindrop Shop, Red Rock Farm, Britts Sweets and Treats, El & Em and more! Food trucks will include Boone Creek Pizza, Kona Ice, and Sweet & Sour Co.
