Tappan Memorial Day Weekend

Friday, May 23

5-7:30pm      Traveling Program Golf Cart – Watch for our program staff traveling through the camp areas with information about weekend programs!

Saturday, May 24

9-10am         Nature Center Open – Explore the Nature Center and meet our program staff!

10am           Flag Ceremony – Join Cadiz American Legion to honor military personnel who have died while fighting in a war. Ceremony will take place in Camp Area 4.

10-11:30am  Pump Track & Activity Zone Ribbon Cutting – Celebrate the grand opening of the NEW pump track near the beach and activity zone near the Welcome Center. Programs will include pump track demo at 10:30am, bike helmet giveaway & safety talk, pickleball demo at 11:30am, and OuterSpatial trails app sign-up and giveaway. Ribbon cutting will take place at pump track. Activities will be at both locations.

12:30pm       Bike Decorating – Decorate your bike for the parade! Meet at the Activity Center Shelter.

1pm             Bike Parade – Feature your decorated bike in the parade. Meet near the Activity Center Shelter. Prizes for top bike in each age group! Parents must accompany children ages 7 and under.

2:30-4pm       T-shirt Tie Dye – Make a colorful and unique creation in the grass across from the Activity Center! Shirts will be available for purchase. Cash only, $10 each. Sizes are first come, first served. *New design!*

5-6pm          Patriotic Craft for Adults – Create a decorative patriotic craft at the Nature Center! For ages 16+.

7-10pm           LIVE Music: Breezy Rider Band – Bring your chair or golf cart to the beach pavilion to listen to live music and play yard games.

9-10pm         Tappan Golf Cart Parade – Decorate your golf cart and head to the beach for line up at 8:30pm. Parade will start at 9pm. Look for the program golf cart!

Sunday, May 25

10-11am       Basketball Challenge – Bring your friends to the new basketball court to play knockout, PIG, and other friendly games!

11:30-1pm    Nature Center Open & Craft for Kids – Visit the Nature Center to discover Ohio wildlife and make a patriotic flag craft. Parents must accompany children.

2-3pm          Teen Cornhole Challenge – Meet at the new cornhole area to play a friendly tournament with prizes for the top team! For ages 12-18.

3-4pm          Stream Stomp – Meet at the stream near the Activity Center to explore! Dress to get wet.

4:30-5:30pm  Kids BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO at the Activity Center. Bring a full-size candy bar.

6-7pm          Adult BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO at the Activity Center. Bring a $2 gift.

9-11pm         Movie at the Lake: – Bring your blankets and camp chairs to the beach to watch a movie on the BIG screen! The movie is rated PG and will start at dusk. You can also watch from your golf cart or car. Please park vehicles towards the back. Pop and chips will be available for purchase for $1 each, cash only.
