Memorial Day Weekend Program Schedule – Tappan Lake

Friday, May 26
4-7pm – Traveling Nature Program – Watch for our program staff traveling through the camp areas with nature questions and information about weekend programs!
9-11pm – Movie at the Lake – Bring your blankets and camp chairs to the beach to watch a movie on the BIG screen! The movie is rated PG-13 and will start at dusk. You can also watch from your golf cart or car. Please park vehicles towards the back.
Saturday, May 27
10am – Flag Ceremony – Join Cadiz American Legion to honor military personnel who have died while fighting in a war. Ceremony will take place in Camp Area 4.
11:30-12:30pm Windsock Craft for Kids – Make a red, white, and blue windsock! Meet at the Nature Center.
1:15pm – Bike Decorating – Stop by the pavilion near the sports courts across from the Activity Center to decorate your golf cart or bike before the parade or you can bring your own from home!
2pm – Bike Parade – Feature your decorated bike in the parade. Line up at 1:45pm at the basketball courts and take a trip around the campground. Prizes for top bikes in each age group!
4-5pm – Teen Challenge – Put your skills to the test! Meet at the Nature Center to compete for prizes!
6-9pm – Spikeball, Cornhole, and Can Jam – Learn a new game or challenge someone to a showdown! Meet near the sports courts.
7-8pm – Tie Dye T-shirts – Make a colorful and unique creation in the grass near Activity Center! T-shirts will be available for purchase, cash only. Youth sizes are $5 each, adult sizes are $10 each. Sizes are first come, first served. *New 2023 t-shirt design*
8-11pm – DJ Sean Smith – Meet at the sports courts for an evening of music and fun!
Sunday, May 28
11am-12pm – Nature Center Open & Game Time – Visit the Nature Center and challenge a friend to a friendly board game or on the Wii!
1-3pm – Creatures of the Lake Scavenger Hike – Take a 1-mile hike along the Beach Trail and learn about the creatures that call Tappan Lake their home. Complete the scavenger hunt and win a prize! Look for a table near the beginning of the trail at the Beach. Be prepared for a natural surface trail with roots and rocks.
3-4pm – Patriotic Craft for Adults – Create a patriotic decoration to display at your campsite or take it home! Meet at the Nature Center. For ages 16 and up.
5-6pm – Kids BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO at the Activity Center. Bring a full-size candy bar.
6-7pm – Adult BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO at the Activity Center. Bring a $2 gift.
8-11pm – LIVE Music: SB Music – Bring your chair or golf cart to the sports courts to listen to live music.
9pm – Tappan Golf Cart Club Parade – Decorate your golf cart and head to the beach for line up at 8:30pm. Parade will start at 9pm.
