Seneca Hunter Education Course

We will offer a lunch break each day. Please bring your own food as there are no nearby restaurant options. Coffee and snacks will be provided. Pre-registration is required at the link below. Search for Hunter Education > Classroom > Senecaville.
Certified volunteers and MWCD staff will be there to teach the courses. They are specially trained by the ODNR and highly qualified to help you learn. Instructors will cover a range of topics, from conservation, safety, and ethics to the proper handling of shotguns, handguns, bowhunting gear, and more. You should not bring firearms or archery equipment to class – all necessary equipment will be provided.
Once you’ve completed the coursework, you will be given a 100-question test which includes a multiple-choice questions. A student must score 75% or higher on the test to pass and obtain certification. Hunter education is a requirement for all first-time license buyers in Ohio, except those who hunt with an apprentice license.
