Father’s Day and Second Saturday at Tappan

Tuesday, June 10
10-11am Discovery Club – This weekly program for ages 5-10 will explore the Nature Center and then get outside to discover nature! This week learn about rocks! Parents are encouraged to attend.
1-2pm Teen Club: Fishing – Bring your friends to the launch ramp near Area 1 to see what we can catch! Bring your own equipment or borrow ours. Live bait provided. Group meets weekly with new themes!
Wednesday, June 11
9-10am Brew Crew – Meet at the Nature Center for a morning chat and coffee while watching the feeders. Each week will feature a new topic or activity, you help decide! For women 16+.
Thursday, June 12
9-10am Trail Trekkers – Take a guided hike along the Turkey Ridge Trail with our weekly hiking group! Meet at the picnic shelter near Area 5. Be prepared for natural surfaces with sneakers or hiking shoes.
2-3pm Shutterbugs – All ages and camera types are welcome to this weekly photography time! Meet at the Nature Center to learn about taking portraits and then try it! Meets weekly with a new topic.
Friday, June 13
4-6pm Traveling Golf Cart – Watch for the program golf cart with 2025 event information and nature items!
7-9pm New Philadelphia Steel Drum Band – Head to the beach and enjoy music from this local favorite!
Saturday, June 14 Father’s Day Weekend & Second Saturday
9-10am Donuts with Dads – Relax with coffee and breakfast treats in the Nature Center. Watch the birdfeeders and learn about nature’s dads.
10-11am Family Karate Class – Meet at the beach near the boat house to learn the basics of karate with Jon McFarland! For ages 4 and up, all kids under 8 must have an adult partner.
12-1pm Kids BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO at the Activity Center. Bring a candy bar.
2-3pm Adult BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO at the Activity Center. Bring a $2 gift.
4-8pm Second Saturday: Summer Kick-off – Enjoy vendors, food trucks, music, and activities at Tappan Lake Park beach. June’s Second Saturday will feature live animals with Oglebay Zoo to You, Nate the Great, live music by Alex Hursey, Bosler’s Bees, and many more!
