Christmas in July at Tappan Lake

Tuesday, July 15

10-11am          Discovery Club – This weekly program for ages 5-10 will explore the Nature Center and then get outside to discover nature! This week have fun with reptiles and amphibians! Parents are encouraged to attend.

1-2pm              Teen Club: Hiking – Bring your friends to the Nature Center to take a hike! Group meets weekly with new themes.

Wednesday, July 16

9-10am            Brew Crew – Meet at the Activity Center patio for a morning chat and coffee. Each week will feature a new topic or activity, you help decide! For women 16+.

10am-3pm          Magic School Bus Day Camp – Explore nature in Magic School Bus style! Join “Miss Frizzle” to get up close with aquatic creatures, experiment, and go on an adventure! For ages 8-14. Registration required at www.MWCD.org/tickets 

Thursday, July 17                    

3-5pm              Shutterbugs & Trail Trekkers – Take a guided hike around the Beall Farm trails with our weekly group! Plus, bring your camera to capture the amazing sites along the trail. All ages and camera types are welcome to this weekly photography time! Meet at the Beall Farm parking lot. Be prepared for natural surfaces with sneakers or hiking shoes.

Friday, July 18                  Christmas in July!! 

5-7:30pm         Traveling Golf Cart – Watch for the golf cart as they travel through the camp areas stopping at  campsites with program schedules!

8-10pm            Movie at the Activity Center – Bring a comfy chair to the Activity Center to watch Elf! Snacks will be on sale for $1 each.

Get in the festive spirit by decorating your Campsite and/or Golf Cart!!!

Lot Decorating Judging will take place on Friday at 9:30pm.

• First place will be free winter storage or gift certificate towards daily camping.
• Second place will be 1/2 off winter storage or gift certificate towards daily camping.

Saturday, July 19          

9:30-10:30am    Breakfast with Santa – Enjoy pancakes, sausage, and a drink provided by Figgy’s Campstore. $4 per person at the Activity Center.

10:30-12:30pm  Traveling Santa – Watch for the golf cart with Santa! Have your camera ready for photos.

12pm               Wagon Ride Ticket Sales – Tickets will be sold inside the Welcome Center Office. Tickets are $1 each and limit of 4 tickets per person in line. Children 3 and under are free but must have a ticket to ride. Tickets are limited and are sold on a ‘’first come-first serve” basis. Limit 20 people per ride.

1-2pm              Ice Cream Social – Enjoy ice cream and toppings at the Activity Center! While supplies last.

4:30-5:30pm     Kids BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO at the Activity Center. Bring a full-size candy bar.

6-7pm              Adult BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO at the Activity Center. Bring a $2 Christmas themed gift!

8pm                 Golf Cart Parade – Meet at the beach to line up and then head out at 8:30pm!

8-11pm            Wagon Rides & DJ Sean Smith – Meet at the beach parking area 15 minutes prior to your ticket  time. Must have ticket to ride. Plus, hang out and enjoy DJ music and yard games!
