Fishing the Muskingum Watershed

Every river and lake in the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD) has its distinct personality and attracts anglers for a variety of reasons throughout the year.

Fishing, from shoreline or boat, is permitted on all MWCD lakes, and public launch ramps are located at each lake.

Through a memorandum of understanding with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ (ODNR), ODNR is responsible for all fish and wildlife management on Conservancy District lands and lakes. All hunting and fishing rules, regulations and license requirements of the State of Ohio apply.

Fishing Maps

Up-to-date Muskingum Watershed lake fishing maps are provided by the ODNR Wildlife Division. Visit the ODNR Interactive Fishing Map, download a PDF of your preferred lake, or purchase a detailed map of fishing areas at each of the MWCD lakes. Maps are also available for a fee from the MWCD main office at 1319 3rd St. NW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663, by calling toll-free at (877) 363-8500, or by sending an e-mail.
