Disc Golf

Disc golf is an exciting and accessible sport that combines the precision of golf with the fun and strategy of frisbee. Players aim to throw a disc from a tee area into a series of metal baskets, known as “holes,” in the fewest possible throws.

The game is played on a course consisting of 9 or 18 holes, each with its own unique layout. Just like in traditional golf, each hole has a par, and players strive to complete the course under par. The discs used in disc golf are designed for different throwing techniques and distances, including drivers, mid-range discs, and putters.

Broughton Nature and Wildlife Area

The Big Buckeye: one of two 18 hole disc golf courses located in The Broughton Wildlife Park. Hole 1 blue tee is on the patio behind the Picnic Pavilion then follows the black top. A cart friendly mostly open flat course follows Second creek and the The Devola Multi use trail. Maps and signs are correct.

The SasQuatch: The Lost Big Buckeye upper 9, turned into a EXTREME 18, par 61, MOUNTAINOUS and wooded, leave your cart at home, able bodied adventurers only, follow the pink markers to find your way, stay on the fairway or pay the price, bring food and water, tell your momma where you’re going, have fun and look out for SasQuatch.
