Tappan Earth Day Celebration
April 26, 2025
8am-5:30pm Ohio Boating Education Course – Ohio law requires this course for anyone born on or after January 1, 1982 in order to operate any powered watercraft greater than 10 horsepower. This FREE course will be led by MWCD Rangers and certified staff. Students must attend the entire course, 8am to 5pm, and pass a proficiency exam. Registration is required at MWCD.org/tickets.
10-11am Nature Center Open and Tree Craft – Explore the Nature Center and learn about upcoming programs. Also learn about Ohio’s trees and make a craft!
10am-12pm Earth Day Clean-up – Stop by the Activity Center for gloves and trash bags, then pick-up map for areas for litter throughout the park & lake! Bring the bags back and receive a coupon for a FREE night of daily camping!
12:30-1:30pm Flower Coaster for Adults – Paint a cute spring decoration at the Nature Center! For ages 13+.
2-3pm Adult BINGO – Meet at the Activity Center for fun and games! Bring a $2 gift.
April 19-April 27 Earth Day Clean-up Challenge
Celebrate Earth Day by visiting the lake on your own to pick up litter. Fill a bag with litter anytime from April 19- 27 and enter a drawing for MWCD prizes by posting photos on Facebook or Instagram using #MWCDEarthDay2025 and tag the park.
