Please park towards the back. \n  \nSaturday\, June 1                 Paws in the Park \n10am-2pm     Tappan Dam Tours – Join the US Army Corps of Engineers for a tour of Tappan Dam! Learn about the history\, plus dam safety as a part of Dam Safety Awareness Day. Tours take approximately 20 minutes\, stop by anytime between 10am and 2pm. \n9-10am         Nature Center Open – Visit the Nature Center to learn about amazing coyotes! \n10-11am         Meeting with the Chief – Meet the new Chief of Recreation at the Activity Center to learn about park amenities and future projects. \n2-3pm          Fabulous Fox – Discover Ohio’s fox and make your own fox ears at the Nature Center. \n3-4pm          Pet Print Art for All Ages – Bring your pet to the patio behind the nature center to make a uniquely painted masterpiece. \n4-5pm          Pack Hike – Take a guided hike with your dog to explore the Deer Trail! Meet at the Nature Center. For ages 16 and up. \n  \nSaturday\, May 25 \n10am         Flag Ceremony – Join Cadiz American Legion to honor military personnel who have died while fighting in a war. Ceremony will take place in Camp Area 4. \n11am-1pm  Nature Center Open – Make a red\, white\, and blue windsock! Meet at the Nature Center. \n1-2pm        Stream Stomp – Meet at the stream near the Activity Center to discover what lives there! Dress to get wet \n2:15pm      Bike Decorating – Stop by the patio behind the Activity Center to decorate your bike before the parade or you can bring your own from home! \n3pm           Bike Parade – Feature your decorated bike in the parade. Meet near the Camp Area 1 shower house and take a trip around the campground. Prizes for top bikes in each age group! \n4-5pm          Tie Dye T-shirts – Make a colorful and unique creation in the grass near Activity Center! T-shirts will be available for purchase. Cash only\, $10 each. Sizes are first come\, first served. *New 2024 t-shirt design \n5-6pm        Teen Club – Parents and teens are invited to learn about our NEW Teen Club. Parents must accompany children. \n1-2pm        Species Spectacular Hike – Meet at the beach parking lot to hike along the Beach Trail. Be prepared for a natural surface trail by wearing hike shoes or sneakers. Parents must accompany children. \n3-4pm        Nature Sunday Funday – Meet on the patio behind the Activity Center for some parachute fun! \n5-6pm          Kids BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO at the Activity Center. Bring a full-size candy bar. \n6-7pm        Adult BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO at the Activity Center. Course is FREE and space is limited. \n9am-2pm     Knotty Hour Open House – Bring your current crochet\, knit\, embroidery\, or other craft project and enjoy social time! Plus\, learn from others and share patterns. Staff will be on hand to help beginners and share the ideas for this program. Bring your own camp chair for more comfortable seating. DESCRIPTION:The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District staff will be this FREE two-day course\, instructor-led course. Participants much attend both days\, for a total of about 12 hours\, in a relaxed classroom environment with hands-on learning. \nLocation: Tappan Lake Park’s Activity Center \nSaturday\, March 2    9am-4pm \nSunday\, March 3     9am-4pm \nWe will offer a lunch break each day. Please bring your own food as there are no nearby restaurant options. Coffee and snacks will be provided. Register by clicking the link below and searching for Hunter Education > Classroom > Deersville. \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER\n\nCertified volunteers and MWCD staff will be there to teach the courses. They are specially trained by the ODNR and highly qualified to help you learn. Instructors will cover a range of topics\, from conservation\, safety\, and ethics to the proper handling of shotguns\, handguns\, bowhunting gear\, and more. You should not bring firearms or archery equipment to class – all necessary equipment will be provided. \n\n\nOnce you’ve completed the course work\, you will be given a 100-question test which includes a multiple choice questions. A student must score 75% or higher on the test to pass and obtain certification. Hunter education is a requirement for all first-time license buyers in Ohio\, except those who hunt with an apprentice license.

DESCRIPTION:Friday\, July 21                          CHRISTMAS IN JULY \n4-8pm         Traveling Program Golf Cart & Craft – Watch for the golf cart traveling through the camp with a fun craft kit! \n9-11pm        Movie at the Lake – Bring your blankets and camp chairs to the beach to watch a family-friendly movie on the BIG screen! The movie is rated PG and will start at dusk. You can also watch from your golf cart or car. Please park vehicles towards the back. The nights get chilly\, bring layers or a blanket! \nSaturday\, July 22 \n9-10am        Breakfast with Santa – Enjoy pancakes\, sausage\, and a drink provided by Figgy’s Campstore. $4 per person at the Activity Center. Santa will be available for pictures\, bring your own camera. \n10am          Traveling Santa – Watch for the golf cart with Santa! Have your camera ready for photos. \n2-3pm         Nature Center Open & Craft for Kids – Explore the Nature Center and make a fingerprint Christmas tree! \n2pm            Wagon Ride Ticket Sales – Tickets will be sold inside the Registration Office. Tickets are $0.50 each and limit of 4 tickets per person in line. Children 3 and under are free but must have a ticket to ride. Tickets are limited and are sold on a ‘’first come-first serve” basis. Limit 20 people per ride. \n4-5pm         Christmas Craft for Adults – Make a Christmas decoration at the Nature Center! While supplies last. \n5-6pm         Kids BINGO – Meet at the Activity Center and try your luck at a fun evening of BINGO. Bring a candy bar. \n6-7pm         Adult BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO at the Activity Center. Bring a $2 Christmas themed gift! \n8pm            Golf Cart Parade – Meet at the beach to line up and then head out at 8:30pm! \n8-11pm        Wagon Rides & DJ Ronnie B – Meet at the sports courts 15 minutes prior to your ticket time.
