Bring a $2 gift. \n4-8pm         Second Saturday – Enjoy vendors\, food trucks\, live music\, inflatables\, yard games\, and crafts at the beach parking lot. Have your camera ready for photos. \n12pm               Wagon Ride Ticket Sales – Tickets will be sold inside the Welcome Center Office. Tickets are $1 each and limit of 4 tickets per person in line. Plus discover Ohio’s bobcat and learn about its life history. \n1-2pm            Tappan Teen Club – Meet at the Nature Center to participate in a photo scavenger hunt. Work in teams to find the most items and win a prize! \n3-4pm            Suncatcher Craft for All Ages – Create a beautiful suncatcher at the Nature Center! \n4:30-5:30pm    Kids BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO in the Activity Center. Bring a full-size candy bar. \n6-7pm            Adult BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO in the Activity Center. Bring a $2 gift.

Bring a full-size candy bar. \n6-7pm            Adult BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO in the Activity Center. Bring a $2 gift. \n7:30-9pm        Evening Nature Hike – Enjoy a leisurely Nature Hike along the Pine Tree Trail. Meet at the playground near the shower house in Camp Area 1. Be prepared for natural surface trails with moderate inclines by wearing sneakers or hiking shoes.

SUMMARY:Tire Take Back at Tappan Lake
DESCRIPTION:Dispose of your unneeded tires at our Tire Take Back event! This event is organized by the MWCD Conservation Department to help reduce the amount of unwanted tires that could end up as litter in and around the lake region. Follow the event signs to the parking lot across from Tappan Lake Park main entrance. \nPlease follow these guidelines when transporting tires. \n\nNo more than 10 tires per drop-off. Federal law prohibits more than 10 tires per vehicle.\nTires on rims will be accepted\, but will not be removed from the rim and will be donated as is.\nMust be free of debris.\nLimited to the first 2\,500 tires. Once the trailer is full\, we will not accept any more.\n\nEvent is sponsored by Kraton Chemical and Encino Energy. \n

SUMMARY:Tappan Ohio Boating Education Course
DESCRIPTION:If you were born on or after January 1\, 1982 Ohio law requires that you complete an approved boating safety education course to operate any powered watercraft greater than 10 horsepower. You can meet Ohio’s Boating Education requirement by attending this approved boating education course and passing a proficiency exam. \nThis course will include hands-on instruction with audio and visual materials and give boaters a chance to ask questions directly to an instructor. Topics include know your boat\, operating safely\, legal requirements and boating emergencies. The course will be taught by OBEC certified MWCD Rangers\, and includes a minimum of eight hours of teaching and a written exam. Students must attend the entire course and pass a proficiency exam. DESCRIPTION:8am-5:30pm       Ohio Boating Education Course – Ohio law requires this course for anyone born on or after January 1\, 1982 in order to operate any powered watercraft greater than 10 horsepower. This FREE course will be led by MWCD Rangers and certified staff. Students must attend the entire course\, 8am to 5pm\, and pass a proficiency exam. Registration is required at MWCD.org/tickets. \n10-11am            Nature Center Open and Tree Craft – Explore the Nature Center and learn about upcoming programs. Also learn about Ohio’s trees and make a craft! \n10am-12pm        Earth Day Clean-up – Stop by the Activity Center for gloves and trash bags\, then pick-up map for areas for litter throughout the park & lake! Bring the bags back and receive a coupon for a FREE night of daily camping! \n12:30-1:30pm     Flower Coaster for Adults – Paint a cute spring decoration at the Nature Center! For ages 13+. \n2-3pm               Adult BINGO – Meet at the Activity Center for fun and games! Bring a $2 gift. \n  \nApril 19-April 27 Earth Day Clean-up Challenge  \nCelebrate Earth Day by visiting the lake on your own to pick up litter. Fill a bag with litter anytime from April 19- 27 and enter a drawing for MWCD prizes by posting photos on Facebook or Instagram using #MWCDEarthDay2025 and tag the park.
