SUMMARY:Seneca Ohio Boating Education Course
DESCRIPTION:If you were born on or after January 1\, 1982 Ohio law requires that you complete an approved boating safety education course to operate any powered watercraft greater than 10 horsepower. You can meet Ohio’s Boating Education requirement by attending this approved boating education course and passing a proficiency exam. \nThis course will include hands-on instruction with audio and visual materials and give boaters a chance to ask questions directly to an instructor. Topics include know your boat\, operating safely\, legal requirements and boating emergencies. The course will be taught by OBEC certified MWCD Rangers\, and includes a minimum of eight hours of teaching and a written exam. Students must attend the entire course and pass a proficiency exam. DESCRIPTION:The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District staff will offer a FREE two-day\, instructor-led course. Coffee and snacks will be provided. Pre-registration is required at the link below. Search for Hunter Education > Classroom > Senecaville. \nREGISTER NOW\nCertified volunteers and MWCD staff will teach the courses. Instructors will cover a range of topics from conservation\, safety\, and ethics to the proper handling of shotguns\, handguns\, bowhunting gear\, and more. You should not bring firearms or archery equipment to class – all necessary equipment will be provided. \n\n\nOnce you’ve completed the coursework\, you will be given a 100-question test which includes multiple-choice questions. A student must score 75% or higher on the test to pass and obtain certification. Hunter education is a requirement for all first-time license buyers in Ohio\, except those who hunt with an apprentice license.

Dogs must be friendly to people and other dogs\, on a leash\, and cleaned up after. \n5pm            Doggie Costume Contest & Talent Show (Marina Point) – Bring your best furry friend to Marina Point Shelter #2 in their best outfit and compete for prizes!
