DESCRIPTION:Paddle around Seneca Lake to find seven poker stops and collect cards to compete for the best poker hand! Kayaks\, canoes\, and paddleboards welcome. Participants will be given a map to navigate around the shoreline near the park and marina to visit at least five stops\, then return for the “Show of Hands” at 4pm. Prizes will be awarded for the best and worst poker hands!  \nComplete waiver required for all participants. If using our equipment\, children ages 12 and under must be with an adult or experienced paddler in a tandem kayak. Maximum weight capacity is 375 lbs for a solo kayak and 500 lbs for a tandem kayak. SUMMARY:Seneca Ohio Boating Education Course
DESCRIPTION:If you were born on or after January 1\, 1982 Ohio law requires that you complete an approved boating safety education course to operate any powered watercraft greater than 10 horsepower. You can meet Ohio’s Boating Education requirement by attending this approved boating education course and passing a proficiency exam. \nThis course will include hands-on instruction with audio and visual materials and give boaters a chance to ask questions directly to an instructor. Topics include know your boat\, operating safely\, legal requirements and boating emergencies. The course will be taught by OBEC certified MWCD Rangers\, and includes a minimum of eight hours of teaching and a written exam. Students must attend the entire course and pass a proficiency exam. SUMMARY:Seneca Hunter Education Course
DESCRIPTION:The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District staff will offer a FREE two-day\, instructor-led course. Participants must attend both days in a relaxed classroom environment with hands-on learning. https://oh-web.s3licensing.com/Event/Index \nLocation: Seneca Lake Park Welcome Center \nSaturday\, November 2: 9am-5pm \nSunday\, November 3: 1pm-4pm \nThere will be a lunch break however\, you will need to pack a lunch as there are no restaurants nearby. Coffee and snacks will be provided. Pre-registration is required at the link below. Search for Hunter Education > Classroom > Senecaville. \nREGISTER NOW\nCertified volunteers and MWCD staff will teach the courses. Instructors will cover a range of topics from conservation\, safety\, and ethics to the proper handling of shotguns\, handguns\, bowhunting gear\, and more. You should not bring firearms or archery equipment to class – all necessary equipment will be provided. \n\n\nOnce you’ve completed the coursework\, you will be given a 100-question test which includes multiple-choice questions. A student must score 75% or higher on the test to pass and obtain certification. Hunter education is a requirement for all first-time license buyers in Ohio\, except those who hunt with an apprentice license.

For all ages! \n  \nSaturday\, October 19          \n12pm          Campsite Decoration Judging – Decorate your campsite for Halloween for a chance to win a prize. Top prize for each area – Marina Point\, Parkside\, and Parkside Central/Woodlands. Winners will be announced on Saturday evening at the beach. \n12-2pm       Traveling Program – Watch for the traveling program cart or truck passing out treats and schedules. \n3-4pm         Fall Craft for All Ages (Parkside) – Meet at the beach patio to make a fall wreath for adults or a mini cloud dough bucket for kids! \n4pm           Costume Parade & Contest (Parkside; Pets Included!) – Dress in your favorite costume and meet at the beach basketball court. Prizes will be given to top costume in each division! Divisions include ages 0-6\, ages 7-11\, ages 12-17\, adults 18+\, and pets. \n4:30-6pm     Trick-or-Treat (Marina Point and Parkside) – Pick out your best costume and collect candy at the campers at participating campsites throughout Parkside and Marina Point. \n6-8pm         LIVE Animals (Parkside) – Visit with Oglebay Zoo to You and see their fabulous creatures! \n6-8pm         Halloween Fun at the Beach (Parkside) – Hang out at the beach for fun and food! \n\nWagon Rides – Take a ride on the wagon to the fisherman’s cabins to see the spooky sights and pick up a treat! Meet at the beach parking area. $2 per person\, limited seats available. Tickets are first come\, first served.\nT-shirt Tie Dye – Make a colorful and unique creation at the beach!
