An adult must accompany all children. \n3-4pm          Flower Craft for Adults – Create a lovely hanging flower decoration at the Welcome Center. \n5-6pm          Popcorn & Board Games – Enjoy friendly competition and snack at the Welcome Center. \n7-8pm          Campfire and Karaoke – Bring your phone with your favorite song to the fire ring by the Welcome Center.  Belt out the lyrics next to a blazing campfire.

DESCRIPTION:Friday\, May 22 \n5-8pm          Traveling Golf Cart – Watch for the traveling program golf cart with 2026 program information! \n  \nSaturday\, May 23 \n9-10am         Nature Center Open – See and help feed the LIVE animals in the Nature Center inside the Welcome Center. Visit the fish mural\, history exhibit\, and bird observation window. \n11am-12pm   Yarn Wrapped Flower Craft for Kids – Head to the Welcome Center to create a beautiful spring flower.  Children should bring an adult assistant. \n3-4pm          Creek Walk – Meet at the stream near Camp Area C to discover aquatic creatures. Guests must wear shoes that can get wet. All kids should have their own adult supervision. \n5-6pm          Compass Challenge – Meet at the Welcome Center deck to learn how to use a compass and then complete a challenge course and win a prize. \n7-8pm          Rag Wreath Craft for Adults – Meet at the Welcome Center to create a wreath with strips of fabric. For ages 16 and up. \n9-11pm         Movie at the Lake – Bring your blanket\, camp chair\, and snacks to Picnic Shelter #1 near Camp Area G to watch a movie on the BIG screen. Did you know that it was filmed in Ohio?! The movie is rated PG-13. In case of bad weather\, movie will be shown in the Welcome Center. \n  \nSunday\, May 24 \n10am-12pm   Fishing for Kids – Go fishing at BOAT DOCKS NEAR CAMP AREA B and Covert Rd.  Fishing poles\, bait\, and guidance will be provided. For kids aged 15 and under with their own adult supervision. \n1-2pm             Patriotic Ribbon Wand Craft for Kids – Kids of all ages will create a Patriotic Wand in the Welcome Center. Parents must accompany their children and dress for painting. \n3-4pm          T-shirt Tie Dye – Make a unique creation near the Welcome Center! T-shirts will be available for purchase. Cash only\, $10 each. Sizes are first-come\, first-served. *New 2026 t-shirt design* \n5-6pm             Giant Kick Ball – Meet at the playground by Area F for a silly version of kickball. We will be using a giant playground ball. For all ages! \n7-10pm         LIVE Music: SB Music – Bring your own chair or blankets to enjoy the best Classic Rock covers at Picnic Shelter #1 near Camp Area G. Plus\, enjoy yard games and sports courts!

SUMMARY:Pleasant Hill Ohio Boating Education Course
DESCRIPTION:All newer boaters must pass an Ohio Boating Education Course (OBEC) before getting behind the wheel. Boat operators born on or after January 1\, 1982\, must complete a boating course or pass a proficiency exam. Classroom boating courses offer hands-on instruction with audio and visual materials and give boaters a chance to ask questions directly to an instructor. Topics include knowing your boat\, operating safely\, legal requirements\, and boating emergencies. The Course will be team-taught by certified Instructors along with MWCD and ODNR officers\, which include a minimum of eight hours of teaching and a written exam. \n  \nREGISTER NOW

DESCRIPTION:The Great Backyard Bird Count is an annual\, global citizen science event\, February 13-16\, where bird lovers of all ages help observe and record bird sightings over a four-day period. Your observations help scientists track bird populations and migration patterns—supporting conservation efforts for our feathered friends worldwide. \nCelebrate this amazing citizen science program at Pleasant Hill Lake on February 14 and help record sightings at our park! All skill levels are welcome. \n1:30 PM             Intro to Bird Identification – Meet in the Welcome Center to learn about Ohio’s common bird species and how to identify them. \n2 PM                   Bird Count Walk – Dress for the weather and take a short walk around the Welcome Center to spot\, identify\, and record sightings with a group. \n2:45 PM             Hot Chocolate and Cookies – Enjoy snacks while watching the birdfeeder station\, helping to identify and record what you see! DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, July 23                          \n10am-3pm     Outdoor Adventure Day Camp (ages 11-14) – Explore the world of thrilling adventures with kayaking\, nature hikes\, survival skills\, campfire building and cooking\, and archery. Registration required at www.mwcd.org/tickets \n  \nFriday\, July 25          \n4-5pm          Nature Center Open – Visit the Nature Room in the Welcome Center to learn how Nature in Ohio Survives. \n5-7pm          Traveling Program Golf Cart – Watch for the traveling program golf cart with weekend schedules. \n8-9pm          Stargazing – Stop by the Welcome Center deck to use a park telescope and get a closer look at the stars. \n  \nSaturday\, July 26             Survival Skills Weekend \nAll Day        Nature Hike – Use the new OuterSpatial trails app to take a self-guided nature hike. Learn more about the app and how to download at www.MWCD.org/OuterSpatial \n9-10am      Nature Center Open – Visit the Nature Room in the Welcome Center to learn how nature in Ohio survives. \n11am-12pm Shelter Building – Head to Picnic Shelter #2 to turn a tarp into a survival shelter. Shelter from the elements is vital for survival. All children must be accompanied by an adult. \n1-2pm        Survival Bracelets – Make your own paracord bracelet in the Welcome Center. These bracelets are designed to unravel when an emergency calls for rope. All children must be accompanied by an adult. \n3:30-4:30pm LIVE Bird Show – Learn about Ohio’s birds and their special survival adaptations at the Welcome Center. All children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. \n5-6pm         Cast Iron Cooking – Bring a can of vegetables and help us stir as we make a beef and vegetable stew over the fire by the Welcome Center.  All who donate or help get a bowl of stew. All children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. \n7-8pm         Campfire and Karaoke – Join us at the fire by the welcome center for Karaoke and a sweet treat (while supplies last).  All children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. \n  \nSunday\, July 27                         \n1-4pm          Poker Paddle – Paddle around the lake to collect poker chips and compete for the best and worst poker hands. Grand prize is a KAYAK! Registration required at www.mwcd.org/tickets

DESCRIPTION:Get in the festive spirit by decorating your Campsite and/or Golf Cart!!! \nLot Decorating Judging will take place on Friday at 9pm. \n\nFirst place will be free winter storage or gift certificate towards daily camping.\nSecond place will be 1/2 off winter storage or gift certificate towards daily camping.\n\nFriday\, July 18                 Christmas in July \n4-5pm         Nature Center Open – Visit the Nature Room in the Welcome Center to help feed the animals. \n5-7:30pm     Traveling Program Golf Cart – Watch for the traveling program golf cart with weekend schedules. \n8-9pm         Christmas Carol Karaoke & Ice Cream Treats – Stop by the Welcome Center for Christmas Carols and a cold treat (while supplies last). \n  \nSaturday\, July 19                      \n9am-12pm   Traveling Santa – Santa will be riding on the Program Golf Cart to take pictures and pass out candy.  His path will be Area C\, D\, A\, B\, G\, E\, F\, and Horse Camp. \n1-2pm         Christmas Craft for Kids – Create and decorate Christmas ornaments at the Welcome Center. Adult supervision is required. \n3-4pm         Christmas Tree or Wreath Craft for Adults – Meet at the Welcome Center to make a holiday wreath for adults or pom pom Christmas Tree. \n4-5pm         Christmas BINGO for Adults – Bring a wrapped $2 Christmas gift and meet at the Welcome Center to win! \n6:30-9:30pm LIVE Music: Tom’s Kitchen Table – Head to the Activity Hill above the beach to take in live music and check out the weekend vendors. \nDusk           FIREWORKS Over the Lake – Watch the fireworks display over the lake from land or water!

DESCRIPTION:Friday\, July 11                 Paws in the Park Weekend \n3-4pm         Canine Compass Challenge – Bring your hound to the Welcome Center Deck to complete a compass course with their assistance. Humans who complete the course will get a prize the canines will get a dog treat. \n4-5pm         Nature Center Open – Visit the Nature Room in the Welcome Center to learn about coyote and fox. \n5-8pm         Traveling Program Golf Cart – Watch for the traveling program golf cart with weekend schedules and dog treats. \n  \nSaturday\, July 12                      \n9-10am       Nature Center Open – Visit the Nature Room in the Welcome Center to learn about coyote and fox. \n11am-12pm  No Bake Dog Treats – Work as a family to make no-bake dog treats for your favorite canine companion.  We will be on the Welcome Center Deck and will be using peanut butter. \n1-2pm         Paw Art Craft for Dogs – Collect art supplies on the Welcome Center Deck to make a masterpiece with your dog (or cat).   \n3-4pm         Nate the Great – Enjoy magic tricks and balloon creations in the Welcome Center. \n5-6pm         Pirate Pooch Photoshoot – We will have a backdrop\, props\, and costumes to turn your pup into a pirate.  Bring your camera to the Welcome Center Deck to capture the memories. \n7:30-8:30pm Hot Dog Swim and Treat Treasure Hunt – Bring your pooch to cool off at the beach! Dogs must be friendly to people and other dogs\, on a leash\, and clean up after. Plus\, search for hidden dog treats at the beach!
