Take a self-guided hike along the Woodland Trail and bridge by the light of many luminaries and candles. Then head to the Activity Center for hot chocolate and s’mores! Plus\, create a fun Christmas craft. The luminaries will be lit and refreshments will be available between 6 and 8pm. Parking is available at the Activity Center and the hike will be up to 2 miles long. Since it is self-guided\, you can make it your own and go farther or turn around sooner\, if needed!

DESCRIPTION:The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District staff will offer a FREE two-day\, instructor-led course. Participants must attend both days in a relaxed classroom environment with hands-on learning. https://oh-web.s3licensing.com/Event/Index \nLocation: Atwood Lake Park Activity Center \nSaturday\, November 16: 9am-4pm \nSunday\, November 17: 9am-4pm \nThere will be a lunch break however\, you will need to pack a lunch as there are no restaurants nearby. Pre-registration is required at the link below. Search for Hunter Education > Classroom > Mineral City. \nREGISTER NOW\n\nCertified volunteers and MWCD staff will teach the courses. Instructors will cover a range of topics from conservation\, safety\, and ethics to the proper handling of shotguns\, handguns\, bowhunting gear\, and more. You should not bring firearms or archery equipment to class – all necessary equipment will be provided. \n\n\nOnce you’ve completed the coursework\, you will be given a 100-question test which includes multiple-choice questions. A student must score 75% or higher on the test to pass and obtain certification. Hunter education is a requirement for all first-time license buyers in Ohio\, except those who hunt with an apprentice license.

All experience levels are welcome. Please bring your own yoga mat or beach towel. Suggested donation of $5-10 per person. Admission into the lake is free when you mention the yoga event at the gate. \n12-2pm       Kickball – Meet near the basketball courts for a friendly game of kickball! For all ages. \n11am-12pm  Fun with the Library – Meet the Carroll Co. Library at the Activity Center Shelter for a story and activity! \n1-2pm         Ice Cream Social – Enjoy ice cream and toppings at the Activity Center Shelter! While supplies last. \n2-5pm         Traveling Santa – Watch for the golf cart with Santa! Have your camera ready for photos. \n3-4pm         Ornament Craft for Adults – Make a Christmas ornament in the Nature Center. \n5:30-6:30pm Christmas Golf Cart Scavenger Hunt – Search the park for hidden Christmas items and be entered to win fabulous prizes! $5 per entry at the Activity Center Shelter\, cash only. \n7-9pm         Adult BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO at the Activity Center Shelter. Bring a $2 Christmas gift!
