Line up in the upper parking lot across from the Activity Center and take a trip around the campground. The parade will go through camp areas A-H. \n5-6pm         T-shirt Tie Dye – Make a colorful and unique creation in the grass near Activity Center Shelter! T-shirts will be available for purchase. SUMMARY:Atwood Ohio Boater Education Course
DESCRIPTION:If you were born on or after January 1\, 1982 Ohio law requires that you complete an approved boating safety education course to operate any powered watercraft greater than 10 horsepower. You can meet Ohio’s Boating Education requirement by attending this approved boating education course and passing a proficiency exam. \nThis course will include hands-on instruction with audio and visual materials and give boaters a chance to ask questions directly to an instructor. Topics include know your boat\, operating safely\, legal requirements and boating emergencies. The course will be taught by OBEC certified MWCD Rangers\, and includes a minimum of eight hours of teaching and a written exam. Students must attend the entire course and pass a proficiency exam. DESCRIPTION:The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District staff will offer a FREE two-day\, instructor-led course. Pre-registration is required at the link below. Search for Hunter Education > Classroom > Mineral City. \nREGISTER NOW\n\nCertified volunteers and MWCD staff will teach the courses. Instructors will cover a range of topics from conservation\, safety\, and ethics to the proper handling of shotguns\, handguns\, bowhunting gear\, and more. You should not bring firearms or archery equipment to class – all necessary equipment will be provided. \n\n\nOnce you’ve completed the coursework\, you will be given a 100-question test which includes multiple-choice questions. A student must score 75% or higher on the test to pass and obtain certification. Hunter education is a requirement for all first-time license buyers in Ohio\, except those who hunt with an apprentice license.

DESCRIPTION:Friday\, August 23                \n5-8pm          Traveling Naturalist – Watch for our program staff traveling through the camp areas to share nature facts! \n  \nSaturday\, August 24           \nAll Week          Capture the Canvas – Explore the trails\, find a canvas\, and enter to win a prize! Three winners will be randomly selected by September 12\, plus the first 200 entries will receive a custom MWCD walking stick medallion and all participants with three entries from different parks will receive a walking stick! For information about Capture the Canvas and how to enter\, visit MWCD.org/canvas \n10am-12pm   Nature Center Open and Craft – Explore the Nature Center and learn about upcoming programs! Plus discover Ohio’s white-tailed deer and learn about its life history. \n1-2pm          Nature Discovery for Families – Meet at the Welcome Center parking lot to take a leisurely hike along the Woodland Trail to discover what is happening in nature. Parents must accompany children. \n2-3:30pm       Kickball – Meet near the basketball court near the Activity Center to learn this fun game! For all ages. \n4-5pm          Pick Your Own Craft for All Ages – Choose from a variety of crafts at the Activity Center Shelter. \n6-7pm          BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO at the Activity Center Shelter. Bring a $2 gift! \n8-9pm          Campfire Get-Together & Karaoke – Relax by the campfire and meet new campers\, while singing the night away! Bring your own camp chair to the small amphitheater. \n  \nSunday\, August 25 \n9-10am       Non-denominational Church Service – Meet at the small amphitheater\, weather permitting.
