All experience levels are welcome. Please bring your own yoga mat or beach towel. Suggested donation of $5-10 per person. Admission into the lake is free when you mention the yoga event at the gate. \n11am-12pm – All About Pollinators! – Learn about the importance of pollinators and learn about how butterflies begin their lives – as caterpillars!! Meet at the Activity Center Shelter. \n1-2pm – Pollinator Nest Box Craft for All Ages – Visit the Activity Center Shelter and make a mason bee box to provide a nesting location for these native bees. \n5-6pm – Plant Swap & Craft for Adults – Bring a healthy plant to trade then make a craft to add to your favorite houseplant! Share stories\, ask questions\, and take a new plant home. Plants can be for indoors or outdoors\, or even a seed packet! Make sure to label your plant and provide general information about sun and water requirements. For ages 12 and up. \n6-7pm – My Dad Rocks Craft – Celebrate Father’s Day and meet at the Nature Center to paint a rock with the special guy in your life! We will be placing the rocks in the park to create a unique piece of art. \n9-11pm – Movie at the Lake– Bring your blankets and camp chairs to the grassy area beside the Activity Center to watch a movie on the BIG screen! SUMMARY:Ohio Boater Education Course at Atwood Lake Park - FULL
DESCRIPTION:If you were born on or after January 1\, 1982 Ohio law requires that you complete an approved boating education course to operate any powered watercraft greater than 10 horsepower. You can meet Ohio’s Boater Education requirement by attending this approved boating education course and passing a proficiency exam.  \nTopics include know your boat\, operating safely\, legal requirements and boating emergencies. The course will be taught by OBEC certified MWCD Rangers\, and includes a minimum of eight hours of teaching and a written exam. Students must attend the entire course and pass a proficiency exam. Everyone under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is full.

Take a self-guided hike along the Woodland Trail and bridge by the light of many luminaries and candles. Then head to the Activity Center for hot chocolate and s’mores! Plus\, create a fun Christmas ornament craft. The luminaries will be lit and refreshments will be available between 6 and 8pm. \nParking is available at the Activity Center and the hike will be up to 2.6 miles long. Since it is self-guided\, you can make it your own and go farther or turn around sooner\, if needed!

In case of cold weather\, meet inside the Activity Center. \n1-2:30pm         Gaga Ball – Meet at the sports courts to play Gaga Ball! This game is great for experts and beginners alike. DESCRIPTION:The MWCD is excited to announce the return of Bounty on the Bridge fine dining event at Atwood Lake Park which will not only showcase the beautiful scenery at the lake\, but also Buckeye Career Center’s culinary arts program! \nThis event will be held on the pedestrian bridge that spans the bay near the welcome center. The bridge will be lit\, and beautifully decorated for fall. Dinner will be prepared and served by the students of Buckeye Career Center\, and other trade programs including floriculture\, and graphic design will have a hand in making this event special. \nDuring the event\, funds will also be raised for the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy Foundation with proceeds from the cash bar\, and a limited number of auction items.  \nTo purchase tickets\, visit https://mwcd.ticketleap.com \nTickets are limited to 100 guests\, and must be purchased by September 25\, 2022. \nIn case of inclement weather\, we will move the event.
