Trails & Amenities - Charles Mill Lake Park
Charles Mill Lake Park added an onsite water tower provide water and improve pressure throughout the park and campgrounds and be a reliable supply of water to the park facilities and campgrounds. The 150 foot tower holds 50,000 gallons and was installed in August 2018.
EZ Dock Kayak Launch
Charles Mill included the addition of an EZ Dock kayak and canoe launch provides a safe and easy way to launch hand powered paddle boats separate from larger boat traffic. EZ Launch® Accessible Transfer System for kayaks and canoes provides individuals with disabilities accessibility that exceeds the minimum requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The easy-to-use transfer bench and transfer slide boards allow users to simply sit, slide over and drop down into a kayak or canoe then use the side rails to pull off or back on. This kayak launch can be found at the Public Boat Launch.
Wastewater Treatment Plant & Water Treatment Plant
Charles Mill Lake Park added a new wastewater treatment plant. This 25,000 gpd package plant will serve the park facilities, campgrounds, and marina. In addition, improvements were made to the water treatment plant to provide iron removal and disinfection. These projects were completed in fall 2018.
RV/Boat Storage Area
Charles Mill Lake Park added an RV/Boat storage area for campers/visitors. This area includes a new fenced/secure storage area for RVs and Boats. It was completed in 2017.
Launch Ramp Improvements
As part of the Master Plan updates and renovations the Launch Ramp was updated at Charles Mill Lake Marina. This allows for easier release of boats into the lake.
