Seneca Lake Park & Marina Master Plan

Marina Point Construction- Phase 1

Construction on Phase 1 of the renovation of Marina Point began last winter. Seasonal Campers from this area have relocated to Parkside for the duration of construction, which is scheduled to be complete in December of 2019. Once finished, 98 sites will have full hook-up utilities and 50-amp power service. Along with campsites, a new restroom/shower building, and picnic shelter will be available to accommodate campers. A basketball court, and playground will be installed to provide entertainment, all summer long! In addition, cluster docks will be installed, to offer a place where campers can easily access their boat. During construction, access to the northern section of Marina Point will be maintained through a temporary access drive constructed opposite the marina. The existing boat ramp in the Marina Point campground will be closed this season.

Parkside Central Campground Construction

Master Plan construction began at Seneca Park with the addition of two new camp areas on Parkside. In total, 104 full hook-up sites with 50-amp power service and concrete pads have been added. Two picnic shelters and three restroom/ shower buildings were also built to accommodate campers. Although nearly complete, poor weather conditions has presented many challenges, creating delays on this project. As soon as weather permits, landscaping will be completed, road repairs will be made near the main entrance, and final asphalt paving will occur. In addition to campground renovations, several amenities have also been added. A new accessible kayak launch was installed at the public boat launch. This kayak launch allows everyone, from beginners to advanced kayakers, to safely enter and exit a kayak. In addition, a kayak launch site is available near the courtesy docks at the swim beach, where kayakers can easily access restrooms or grab a snack at the recently constructed concession stand. In addition, a new launch ramp has been installed along with a fishing pier and cluster dock on Parkside.
