MWCD to Host First Responders Day with Free Gate Admission August 27

August 19, 2022

The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD) will host First Responders Day at Atwood, Pleasant Hill, Seneca, and Tappan Lake Parks on Saturday, August 27. To say “Thank You” to these brave men and women, free gate admission will be offered all day for all First Responders with valid ID. Meet MWCD Rangers, and local first responders from the Sheriff’s Department, Fire Department, and ODNR, to name a few. Learn what they do, see the equipment, and pictures, and ask questions. Events will include demonstrations, giveaways, and photo ops. Visit the website for specific event times at each location.

“This event is designed to provide kids and adults an opportunity to meet the rangers, local law enforcement, and first responders in a fun way in a friendly environment.” Said Craig Butler, Executive Director for the MWCD.  “The MWCD has always worked closely with local agencies to ensure the safety, and security of park guests, and protect the citizens in the area. Guests will have an opportunity to see and talk to officers and first responders from a variety of agencies in one location to check out the equipment they use, ask questions, and interact in a positive way.”

Once inside the park, guests can enjoy the swimming beach, hiking trails, fishing piers, and picnic areas.
