Route 250 Detour Near Tappan Lake Begins Wednesday, July 6, 2022

ODOT has announced that beginning Wednesday, July 6, a 4.5-mile stretch of U.S. Route 250 will close to traffic for 100 days for a major rehabilitation project. The road will close from the U.S. Route 250/State Route 800 intersection near Dennison in Tuscarawas County to the U.S. Route 250/State Route 151 intersection in Harrison County.
This project includes the removal of old concrete base pavement and rebuilding the roadway from the dirt up with an aggregate base and topped off with asphalt pavement.
The completion date for all work is October 31, 2022.
MWCD has created a local detour for guests visiting Tappan Lake who are impacted by the detour.
