Vessel Safety Checks at MWCD Lakes
May 13, 2021
Boaters are invited to bring their boat to the MWCD lakes for Vessel Safety Checks on Saturday, May 15 and Sunday, May 16. MWCD Rangers will be on site to check the boat for compliance with ODNR boating regulations. This inspection is free and can provide peace of mind that your boat is meeting requirements. If your boat passes, you will receive a decal. If your boat does not pass, no citation is issued at that time. However you will receive a written report and information on how to correct any issues. Safety checks typically last 15-20 minutes and will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Rangers will be at the following locations during the times listed. Safety Checks at Charles Mill and Pleasant Hill Lakes have been postponed due to flooding.
