Atwood Lake Park Fireworks: July 5, 2019
July 3, 2019
Visit Atwood Lake Park to celebrate Independence Day with a firework show over the lake on Friday, July 5th! Fireworks will be set off at dusk and can be viewed from the campgrounds, shore, and lake. Due to high water, the beach will remain closed. Spectators may park near the beach and watch from the grass. The public launch ramp will remain closed for boat launching, however limited parking will be available.
The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District's boating advisory for Atwood Lake is still in effect and the entire lake is designated a no wake zone until further notice. Due to high waters and heavy rains, debris can be submerged or partially submerged, creating dangerous boating hazards throughout the lake. Boaters should use extreme caution and avoid shorelines, as docks and dock poles may not be visible.
NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN for exiting the public launch ramp and Atwood Lake Road NE after the fireworks. All traffic leaving the park or marina on Atwood Lake Rd NE must turn right onto SR 212. All traffic leaving the public launch ramp area must turn left. Click here for driving routes to the Canton area and Dover/New Philadelphia area.
