Princess in the Park is a Royal Success at Pleasant Hill

Pleasant Hill Lake Park hosted “Princess in the Park” on Saturday, September 23, to a sold-out crowd of princesses and princes from around the state. Guests were invited to attend in their royal finest and had their choice of two time slots; 3pm or 5:30pm. Upon arrival, participants were divided into groups of 12 and rotated through four stations. The stations included crafts, snacks, nail/face painting and carriage ride.

Fairy Godmothers painted faces, and princesses painted nails, but the highlight of the event was a royal carriage ride. Half of the guests climbed aboard the carriage and trotted through the park led by Clydesdales. The other half made their way to the photo booth where they could have their photo taken with the reining, 2017 Miss Ohio, Sarah Clapper. While signing a personalized photo, she spoke to each child, giving each one special attention.

The evening is certainly one to not soon be forgotten and will be recreated again. Plans are in the works to have another Princess in the Park event, hopefully at two MWCD locations, next year.
