New Atwood Campsites are Available for Use During Alive Music Festival!

July 20, 2017

“This new campsite has really exceeded expectations,” stated the first customer who pulled into Atwood’s new campground as he maneuvered his 36-foot camper onto one of the new concrete camping pads at Atwood Lake Park. 75 campsites along with the restroom facility are ready and opened to accommodate the Alive Christian Music Festival which takes place this weekend.

These new campsites include full utility hook-ups, concrete pads, picnic tables, and off-road vehicle parking for each camping unit.  As an added bonus, campers in this area have a wonderful scenic view of Atwood Lake. Construction will resume following the festival to complete the additional 67 campsites and add landscaping, including more than 200 trees, and is expected to be complete later this year. The campsites will be available for reservations in Spring of 2018.

These campsites at Atwood Area H serve as the template and example of the improvements that are taking place at Tappan, Seneca, Pleasant Hill and Charles Mill Lake Parks. Thanks, and appreciation to MWCD staff, the Woolpert design team, and Beaver Excavating for their hard work!
