Stark County resident, Richard J. Pryce, attended his last MWCD board meeting in his official capacity as Board of Director after serving faithfully for the maximum permitted two five-year terms. Mr. Pryce was instrumental in directing the organization through implementation of the maintenance assessment, oil and gas leasing opportunities and strategic planning which included the $120 million master plan for MWCD parks and campground capital improvements.
Executive Director, John Hoopingarner, presented Mr. Pryce with a commemorative photo of the first major project completed in the master plan, the Atwood Welcome Center. Mr. Pryce stated, “The organization has come a long way. I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. We have accomplished a lot, we have a wonderful staff, and I wish you well. And….. I look forward to seeing the master plan completed.”
The entire MWCD organization gives thanks and appreciation to Mr. Pryce’s service and wish him well. God speed Mr. Pryce.
The vacant Board position will be filled by the 18 judges assigned to the Conservancy Court which meets June 2.
