Piedmont Marina launches marina website
July 24, 2014
Information about Piedmont Marina has never been easier to find than today.
The popular marina located on Piedmont Lake has launched its own website at www.piedmontmarinaohio.org with plenty of features designed to provide updates and more to boaters, guests and everyone who is interested in the marina and its services and amenities.
“This web page is the best way to stay updated on everything that the marina offers and is planning,” said Matt Miller, Piedmont Marina manager. “Our customers have asked us for years to give them a place for details about the marina, and this web page delivers it.”
The marina’s web page also offers easy access to the marina’s online reservation system available at travel.reservemwcd.com, where interested visitors can reserve campsites and stays in the marina’s cabins or motel in a matter of minutes.
Piedmont Marina is located at 32281 Marina Rd., Freeport, and is operated by the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD).
The MWCD, a political subdivision of the state, was organized in 1933 to develop and implement a plan to reduce flooding and conserve water for beneficial public uses in the Muskingum River Watershed, the largest wholly contained watershed in Ohio. Since their construction, the 16 reservoirs and dams in the MWCD region have been credited for saving an estimated $11.1 billion worth of potential property damage from flooding, according to the federal government, as well as providing popular recreational opportunities that bolster the region’s economy. A significant portion of the reservoirs are managed by the MWCD and the dams are managed for flood-risk management by the federal U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
For more information about the MWCD, visit www.mwcd.org and follow the MWCD on Facebook and Twitter.
