Charles Mill Lake Park adds own park website

Information about Charles Mill Lake Park has never been easier to find than today.
The park has launched its own website at www.charlesmillparkohio.org with plenty of features designed to provide updates and more to visitors, guests, campers, cabin guests and everyone who is interested in the park and its events and amenities.
“This web page is the best way to stay updated on everything that the park offers and is planning,” said Steve Rice, Charles Mill Lake Park manager. “Our guests have asked us for years to give them a place for details about the park, and this web page delivers it.”
The park’s web page also offers easy access to the park’s online reservation system available at travel.reservemwcd.com, where interested visitors can reserve campsites, cabins and picnic pavilions in a matter of minutes.
Activities are planned throughout the camping season at Charles Mill Lake Park and all of the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD) lake parks, and camping is available all year long. A complete schedule of events is available on the park’s website, too.
The full park season at Charles Mill Lake Park runs from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Admission for a day at the park, including use of the swimming beaches and park amenities, is only $5 per vehicle during the park season.
Charles Mill Lake Park is located near Mansfield off Rt. 30 and I-71 in Ashland and Richland counties.
The MWCD, a political subdivision of the state, was organized in 1933 to develop and implement a plan to reduce flooding and conserve water for beneficial public uses in the Muskingum River Watershed, the largest wholly contained watershed in Ohio. Since their construction, the 16 reservoirs and dams in the MWCD region have been credited for saving an estimated $11.1 billion worth of potential property damage from flooding, according to the federal government, as well as providing popular recreational opportunities that bolster the region’s economy. A significant portion of the reservoirs are managed by the MWCD and the dams are managed for flood-risk management by the federal U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
