Seneca Lake Park to host giant fireworks show Saturday, July 2

The Fourth of July holiday weekend is all about families and fireworks.
You can enjoy both at Seneca Lake Park.
The popular park will host a full weekend of activities over the Fourth of July holiday weekend (July 1-4) including the park’s annual giant fireworks show on Saturday night (July 2).
A full day of events and fun are planned before the fireworks show on Saturday. The day begins with camper yard sales during the morning and afternoon hours. Then two bands take over and rock the Seneca Lake area. The band Sliverthorn will play at the park’s Marina Point stage from 8 to 10 p.m., and the band Riders at the Gates of Dawn is scheduled to play at the beach stage, also from 8 to 10 p.m.
The fireworks show will follow at around 10 p.m.
The park is open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and the swimming beach is open daily from noon to 8 p.m.
Camping also is available at a cost of $32.25 per night for a full hookup (includes electric and sewer service), $27 per night for a site with electric and $25 per night for a primitive site. Discounts apply for stays of at least 30 days. Reservations can be made by calling the park at (740) 685-6013 or by sending an e-mail to for availability.
The park also features two-bedroom family vacation cabins that sleep up to six people, along with salt-box style camper cabins. Overnight boat docking also can be purchased by guests of the park at Seneca Marina.
The park offers rentals of its picnic shelters for $40 each.
