Applicants sought for MWCD Board of Appraisers seat

Applications are being accepted for a vacant seat on the three-member Board of Appraisers of the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD).

The Board of Appraisers is a panel that oversees property-related issues and methodology of determining assessments for the conservancy district according to Ohio law. Members serve terms of five years and are appointed by the MWCD's Conservancy Court. By law, members of the Board of Appraisers appointed by the Conservancy Court must be recommended by the MWCD Board of Directors.

Present members of the Board of Appraisers are Mark J. Waltz of Dover, chairman, and James Navratil of Medina.

The MWCD, a political subdivision of the state of Ohio, manages 54,000 acres of public land and water in an area covering 18 counties in the eastern portion of the state.
