Atwood Lake Park Master Plan Update

Atwood Lake Park is located in Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties. An easy drive from Akron and Cleveland, Atwood Lake Park is a close getaway vacation. Atwood is one of the state's -- and region's -- top lakes for sailing and pleasure boating. Atwood Lake Park features a wide, sandy beach, vending area, changing room with showers, playground, picnic area and picnic shelters.

Recent Construction

Area A & G

Area A & G are a part of the Master Plan campground renovations. Area A redevelopment of existing seasonal RV campground, resulted in 39 new and 40 renovated campsites, plus a new restroom/shower building. Area G allowed for the development of 27 new daily/weekly RV sites. These new areas can be found immediately upon entering the campground and located next to the Activity/Nature center in the park. These sites are open.

 What to Expect in 2019

Although no campgrounds will be under construction during the 2019
season, a new restroom with showers will be installed in Area 4. Construction for this project will begin in October of 2019 and will be completed in 2020. Work will also be continuing to improve the park trail system. The next camp areas to be renovated will be areas B and C. This work will start in 2020.
