The Tuscarawas Region is comprised of Carroll, Stark, Tuscarawas, Harrison and portions of Summit, Wayne, Holmes, Belmont and Coshocton counties.  The reservoir system in this region includes Atwood, Beach City, Bolivar, Clendening, Dover, Leesville, Piedmont and Tappan.

Homes constructed in low-lying areas of communities in Carroll, Harrison, Coshocton and Tuscarawas counties receive flood reduction and protection, thus increasing property values and opportunities for development.

Commercial areas in the region are offered protection for facilities and the ability to transport goods and services, even during inclement weather.

Agricultural fields and facilities in flatlands areas around the region are offered greater protection for crops and transportation to markets.

MWCD reservoirs play a major role in the region’s strong timber industry, with harvesting work scheduled on a regular basis.

Tappan Lake has become the source of the public water supply for the Village of Cadiz.  All MWCD lakes are open for domestic uses.
