Pleasant Hill Lake Park opens Friday for summer season
Summer fun is finally close at hand.
And there’s no better place to celebrate the season than Pleasant Hill Lake Park, where a variety of fun activities are planned over the upcoming Memorial Day holiday weekend. The park opens for the season Friday, May 27, and activities and events are planned on weekdays and weekends all summer.
Plenty of events for the whole family are planned over the holiday weekend (May 27-30), including crafts, music, a potluck dinner for campers and more. The park’s swimming beach also opens Friday for the summer season.
Visitors planning to spend a day at the beach or enjoying the other activities available inside the park are admitted for a cost of $5 per vehicle. Season passes are available for $50 per vehicle. The park is open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and the beach is open daily from noon to 8 p.m.
Camping also is available at a cost of $34.25 per night for a full hookup site (includes electric and sewer service) or $30 per night for a site with electric only. Discounts apply for stays of at least 30 days. Group camping also is available. Reservations can be made by calling the park at (419) 938-7884 or by sending an e-mail to pleasanthill@mwcd.org for availability.
The park also features two-bedroom family vacation cabins that sleep up to six people, along with salt-box style camper cabins. Overnight boat docking can be purchased by guests of the park.
The park also offers rentals of its picnic shelters for $40 each for small shelters and $80 each for large shelters.
