Cabins, Golf Course open at Atwood Lake Resort
The vacation cabins and the golf course at Atwood Lodge are open and are taking reservations.
The main lodge, restaurant, lounge, par-3 golf course and meeting center closed earlier this week.
However, the 17 vacation cabins located across from the main entrance to the lodge will continue to be available for reservations and overnight guests. The cabins features four bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms and heating and air conditioning. For rates and availability, contact the lodge toll-free at (800) 362-6406 or online at www.atwoodlakeresort.com.
The 18-hole golf course also is open and tee times are available by calling (800) 362-6406. A special fall rate has been established and 18 holes and a half cart is $18, or only $9 for 9 holes and a half cart. A senior rate for golfers ages 55 and older is $15 for 18 holes and a half cart.
The golf course also is planning a special "Fall Appreciation Outing" on Saturday, Oct. 16. The cost is only $25 per golfer. Call the lodge for details.
Updates about Atwood Lodge are available routinely at the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD) website at www.mwcd.org.
The MWCD owns Atwood Lodge and opened it in 1965.
