MWCD seeks applicants for Development Advisory Committee
February 25, 2010
The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD) is seeking applicants to fill three open seats on its 18-member volunteer Development Advisory Committee (DAC).
The DAC was created by the MWCD Board of Directors in 1982 to provide an organized public support system for responsive and effective conservation, economic development and recreation programs. DAC members discuss issues of concern with the MWCD Board of Directors and staff, and have been assigned topics for research and recommendations by the Board.
DAC members are appointed by the Board of Directors and serve terms of three years, with a maximum of two consecutive terms. Richard Bassetti of New Philadelphia and Norm Blanchard of Seneca Lake were honored by the MWCD at a recent DAC meeting for their six years of service on the advisory committee.
Meetings of the DAC generally are held quarterly, with additional meetings held as needed.
To apply, send a letter of interest, a resume and any other background materials via e-mail to email@example.com, or via regular mail to Development Advisory Committee, Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District, P.O. Box 349, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
