Thomas L. Tribbie was elected president of the Board of Directors during a meeting today (Dec. 15) held at Atwood Lake Resort and Conference Center. David Parham, a resident of an MWCD cottage area, will serve as the Board’s vice president. Tribbie is a partner in the Cambridge law firm of Tribbie, Scott, Plummer and Padden, and was appointed to the MWCD Board of Directors in 2004. He also previously served as the president of the board of trustees of the Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, chief executive officer of the Valley of Cambridge Scottish Rite Masons and on the board of directors of the National City Bank. Parham was appointed to the MWCD Board of Directors earlier this year following the retirement of Joanne Limbach. He is a former member of the MWCD’s Development Advisory Committee, serving as chairman in 2004. A resident of the Atwood Lake region in Carroll County, Parham spent 30 years as an attorney in Northeast Ohio before retiring from the Cleveland firm Thompson Hine LLP. His work included cases concerning land use planning issues, product liability and zoning codes, and he has served as lead counsel for cases in 18 states. A graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Law, Parham also was a member of the Shaker Heights City Council and its planning commission and zoning board of appeals.
