![]() MWCD Receives Clean Audit Report for 2003, 2004 The official audit of the financial records of the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District for the past two years has received exemplary marks. S.R. Snodgrass Co. of Steubenville conducted the audit of the MWCD ís finances for the years 2003 and 2004, reported no findings or exceptions, and made no recommendations for improvements or enhancements. During a recent meeting of the MWCD Board of Directors, Richard Sunyoger, a certified public accountant from Snodgrass, praised the members of the MWCDís financial staff for their handling of records and documents related to receipts and expenditures. The MWCD, a political subdivision of the State of Ohio, is required by law to have audits of its financial records conducted on a routine basis. The results are filed with the State of Ohio and are available for review by the public. The Conservancy District had an overall budget of more than $13 million in both years for which the audit was conducted. Nearly all of the revenue generated for the MWCD ís budget is from fees associated with use of its facilities, including recreational fees and stewardship of its natural resources. More information about the MWCD can be found at www.mwcd.org or at www.mwcdlakes.com.
